The Cookie (tm)

My favorite cookie and a crowd pleaser for decades. Children and grown men alike, have left a comet trail behind me, hoping I'd have a second or third cookie I'd be willing to share. Sharing these is what it's all about, so the answer is always Yes, until they're gone.

This is a pretty straight forward Toll House recipe that I tweaked with a couple secret ingredients. But feel free to add in different chip flavors, like white chocolate, peanut butter, or add cranberries, mini marshmallows, or M&Ms. It's all about fun and favorite flavors with cookies. If you cookies aren't fun, what are you even doing?

preheat oven to 350

3/4 c brown sugar 3/4 c sugar 1 stick butter (I like Challenge) softened 2 eggs 1 tsp vanilla 1 tsp baking soda 1 dash of salt 2 1/2 c flour (Cup 4 Cup gf flour) 1/2 c semi-sweet chocolate chips 1/2 c any flavor chips or add-ins you love. Cream the butter and sugars until smooth. Add the vanilla and eggs, one and a time. Mix well. Add salt, baking soda and flour. Mix well. Add in the chips or flavors you want and stir with a spoon. The French folk lore is 22 or 23 times to make the perfect blend. Spoon onto a cookie sheet or smooth out in a casserole dish.

Bake at 350 9-12 minutes for cookies, or for pan cookie- until a fork comes out clean. Serve these with a smile and watch them fall in love with the flavors.
